1.1. Use of EHouseMovers Site Content

The personal data collected refers to the information that you voluntarily submit when completing any of the online forms on our website, whether to request a quote for one of the services provided by EHOUSEMOVERS, to contact EHOUSEMOVERS, or to share your feedback about your satisfaction with the services offered.

The personal data collected thus includes:

  • Your contact information: last name, first name, postal address, phone number (landline and/or mobile), email address
  • If relevant, for a quote request for a moving service and/or furniture storage, information pertaining to the planned move: destination and pick-up addresses, intended moving date, reason for moving (job change or other), and any specific needs related to the move (furniture storage and vehicle transportation).
  • If relevant, for a quote request for a vehicle transportation service, details concerning the vehicle’s transport: destination and pick-up addresses, planned date of transportation, and the vehicle’s make and model.
  • If relevant, for a quote request for a parcel delivery service, details regarding the delivery: destination and origin addresses, scheduled dispatch date, and number of parcels.

By default, EHOUSEMOVERS will not be able to provide the services offered on its site, including preparing the requested quotes, contacting you upon request, and responding to your reviews and comments.

1.2. Cookies

EHOUSEMOVERS can also collect information automatically through the use of cookies placed on your device (computer, tablet, mobile, smartphone) during your visit to the site, provided they have your permission to do so. You have the option to withdraw your consent at any time.

2. Processing of personal data

EHOUSEMOVERS is the designated data controller for your personal information.

  • Processing users’ requests for quotes, sending them the quotes, contacting users after their quotes have been drawn up or in order to draw up a precise quote
  • Contact users who have requested contact on the site

  • Handle inquiries and grievances from users, delivering exemplary customer service
  • Establish and maintain customers’ personal accounts, utilizing personal data for identification and granting access to specific site features, particularly for tracking service progression

EHOUSEMOVERS undertakes not to disclose your personal data to any other third party without your explicit and prior consent, or in the circumstances listed below:

  • AGS may be required, by law, in the context of judicial proceedings, a dispute and/or any claim that may be made against it, to disclose your personal data
  • AGS may also disclose your personal data if it thinks that in the interests of national security, in application of the law or for any other public interest reason, disclosure is necessary or appropriate
  • AGS may also disclose your personal data if it thinks that said disclosure is reasonably necessary in order to promote compliance with this clause or to protect its activities or protect you
  • In the event of a restructuring, AGS may legitimately transfer all the personal data to its beneficiary

4. Retention periods

Your personal data will only be kept for the duration necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was gathered and processed.

Any personal data used for marketing purposes will be retained for a period of three (3) years from the time it was collected on the site.

Data collected through cookies will be retained for a period of thirteen (13) months from the time it was collected on the site. Once the necessary duration to achieve the specified objectives has elapsed, EHOUSEMOVERS commits to either destroying your personal data or rendering it anonymous.

5. Marketing

EHOUSEMOVERS provides a complimentary service for subscribing to updates and newsletters from EHOUSEMOVERS. Subscribers receive periodic information about EHOUSEMOVERS, transportation, and international removals. EHOUSEMOVERS commits not to utilize your personal data for marketing purposes, including sending promotional messages, news updates, newsletter subscriptions, or any related informational activities, without your explicit consent.

6. Your rights

You also have the right to submit a claim to the CNIL and to file a claim against EHOUSEMOVERS in the competent courts if you believe that EHOUSEMOVERS has committed a breach of your rights with regard to personal data.
