Financial Firm Office Relocation
Financial Firm Office Relocation in Dubai
We handle financial firm office relocation in Dubai for brokerages, investment firms, asset managers, trading companies and bank offices. Dealing desks, market data screens and secure records are moved over the weekend and set up desk by desk, so your team can log in and trade when markets open.
In most offices, a slow Monday after a move is an inconvenience. In a trading firm, a desk that is not working at market open means missed trades and unhappy clients. That is why we plan financial office moves backwards from the moment markets reopen. As office movers in Dubai, we run these moves with a seat-by-seat rebuild plan, a fixed weekend timeline and a test window before Monday.

We plan the move backwards from the moment markets reopen
Tell us how many desks and screens you have and where you are moving to. We arrange a site survey and send a fixed quote with a weekend timeline built around market hours.
What We Move for Financial Firms
A financial office combines sensitive equipment, secure records and high-value furniture — and the dealing desks are usually the most complex part of the whole move.
Trading Desks & Multi-Screen Setups
Desks, monitor arms and the screens on them. A single trader’s position can carry six or more screens, each connected to a specific machine and a specific input, and every one of those connections is recorded before anything is touched.
Trading Turrets & Voice Equipment
Turrets and voice trading hardware are disconnected, packed and remounted to the seat plan. Where your voice vendor insists on handling its own kit, we build their engineer into the weekend timeline instead of working around them.
Market Data Terminals
Dedicated terminals, their keyboards and their own screens. These are the seats with the tightest vendor dependency, so they are mapped first and tested first.
Servers, Network & Call Recording
Comms room hardware, switches and call recording equipment. A rack move is a separate discipline with its own labelling and port map — see our servers and network equipment relocation.
Safes, Strong Boxes & Secure Cabinets
Moved with equipment suited to their weight. Floor loading and lift limits are checked at both buildings during the survey, so nothing is discovered on the day with a safe already on a trolley.
Client Files, KYC & Account Records
Packed into lockable crates with numbered seals, listed on an inventory and signed for at both ends. The same sealed-crate process we run for law firms.
Executive Offices & Boardrooms
Boardroom tables, executive furniture and reception. High-value pieces are wrapped and crated rather than blanket-wrapped, and boardroom tables are dismantled only where the doors demand it.
Cash Machines, Scanners & Printers
Cash counting machines, cheque scanners and office printers. Cash handling equipment is moved empty and the handover is witnessed by your own staff, not ours.
Rebuilding the Dealing Room Seat by Seat
The goal on Monday morning is simple: every trader sits down at a desk that looks and works exactly as it did on Friday.

A single trader’s position can carry six or more screens, each one connected to a specific machine and a specific input. Multiply that by a floor of desks and you have the reason dealing rooms are the hardest office move there is.
We do not try to remember it. Every position is photographed and labelled while your team is still working, and the room is rebuilt at the other end from the photographs and the labels rather than from anybody’s memory of how it looked.
-
01
Seat Mapping
Before the move, each desk position gets a seat number that matches your new floor plan. We photograph every position — screen layout, monitor arm angles and cable connections.
-
02
Labelling by Seat
Every screen, PC, keyboard and cable is labelled with its seat number and its position: seat 14, screen 3. Cables are bagged by seat, never thrown into one box and sorted out later.
-
03
Rebuild to the Photographs
At the new office, desks are assembled, monitor arms fitted and screens mounted in the same layout. Cables are reconnected according to the labels, not according to guesswork.
-
04
Test Window
We aim to finish the physical setup early enough for your IT team to power up and test every seat before the working week starts. The schedule is built backwards from that moment.
Working with Your IT Team, Vendors and Records
A financial office relies on outside providers for market data, voice trading and connectivity. Many need advance notice to move or reinstall their equipment, and some insist on sending their own engineers.
Four teams on site, all waiting for each other
We build ONE timeline showing when your IT team shuts down, when we disconnect and move, when vendor engineers are on site, and when testing starts. Everyone knows their slot, and nobody waits in the lobby for someone else to finish. We do not configure systems or touch your data — we fit our work around theirs.
Client files cannot simply go in a box
Client files, KYC documents and account records go into lockable crates with numbered seals. Each crate is listed on an inventory with its contents and seal number, and signed for at loading and again at unloading by your nominated person. It is the same process we set out in full on our law firm relocation page.
A safe is heavier than the floor it is standing on
Safes and strong boxes are moved with equipment suited to their weight. During the survey we check floor loading and lift limits at both buildings, so there are no surprises on the day — the worst possible moment to discover a service lift is under-rated is with a safe already on it.
Cash handling equipment is moved empty, and the handover is witnessed by your own staff. Cash counting machines and cheque scanners travel like any other hardware once they are empty — and emptying them is a job for the people whose names are on the reconciliation, not for a moving crew.
Regulatory and Licensing Steps for Your Firm
Moving a regulated firm means more than moving furniture. Before and after the move, your compliance team will usually need to work through these four.
-
Notify Your Regulator
Of the change of address — whether that is the DFSA, the Securities and Commodities Authority, the Central Bank or another authority.
-
Update Your Trade Licence
The address on the licence, with DIFC, DMCC, or Dubai Economy and Tourism, depending on where your firm is registered.
-
Update Business Continuity
Refresh the plan and confirm your backup arrangements cover the move weekend specifically, not just normal operations.
-
Inform Clients & Counterparties
Of the new address, on whatever notice period your own agreements and your regulator expect.
These tasks sit with your firm, not with us. What we do is share the move timeline early, so your compliance team can plan its notifications around a date that is already fixed — rather than chasing one that keeps moving.
Our Process
Eight stages, built backwards from the moment markets reopen rather than forwards from the day you hand back the keys.
Site Survey
We count desks, screens, safes and file cabinets, and check access at both buildings ourselves.
Seat Plan
Every desk position at your current office is matched to a position on the new floor plan.
Timeline
The weekend schedule is agreed with your IT team, your vendors and building management together.
Pre-Move Labelling
Seats are photographed and labelled during the week, while everyone keeps working as normal.
Friday Evening Shutdown
Once trading ends, your IT team shuts down and our crew starts disconnecting and packing.
Transport
Equipment and sealed crates travel directly to the new office in closed, locked trucks.
Rebuild
Desks, screens and cables are set up seat by seat, to the photographs and to the labels.
Testing & Handover
Your IT team powers up and tests every seat. We stay on site until they confirm the room is ready.
Moving in DIFC, DMCC and Business Bay
Most of Dubai’s financial firms sit in one of three places, and all three have towers that run moves on their own terms. We handle the building paperwork at both addresses in advance, working with your facilities team.
Where Our Financial Clients Sit
4 Areas- DIFC
- DMCC
- JLT
- Business Bay
What These Towers Require
4 Rules- Booked loading bay slot
- Booked service lift slot
- After-hours moving only
- Crew passes & insurance certificate
The paperwork is the part that stops moves, not the lifting. A crew turned back at a loading bay on Friday night costs you the whole weekend, and the weekend is all there is. We submit the passes and the insurance certificate to building management at both addresses before the date is confirmed.
Timing the Move Around Market Hours
Every other office move is scheduled around a lease date. This one is scheduled around a closing bell, and the bell does not negotiate.
The Window Is Genuinely Tight
UAE markets close on Friday afternoon, and most global markets close by Friday night UAE time and reopen late Sunday or early Monday. That is the whole window, and it does not move for anybody.
Physical Work Done by Sunday Morning
We plan so the physical work finishes Saturday night or Sunday morning, which leaves the whole of Sunday for your IT team and your vendors to test. Testing time is not the buffer — it is the point.
Larger Firms Move in Stages
Back office, operations and support teams move first, over one weekend. The dealing room moves last, on its own weekend, with the full crew focused on nothing else.
What Affects the Cost
We give a fixed quote after the site survey, and it does not move afterwards. Six things set the number.
Trading Desks & Screens
The number of positions and the number of screens on each — counted at the survey, because a six-screen seat is not a desk.
IT & Vendor Equipment
How much comms room and vendor hardware is in scope, and how many of those vendors send their own engineers.
Safes & High-Value Items
Weight-rated handling, and what the floor and lift limits allow at both ends.
Volume of Files & Records
How many crates of client files, KYC documents and account records, and whether any of it goes to storage instead.
Building Rules
After-hours requirements, booked loading bays, lift slots and crew passes. In DIFC and DMCC these shape the schedule rather than decorate it.
One Weekend or Staged
A single weekend and a staged move price differently, and most firms above a certain size want the staged one.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you finish the move over one weekend?
Yes, for most small and mid-size firms. We start on Friday evening after trading ends and aim to complete the physical setup by Sunday morning, leaving time for your IT team to test before markets open.
Do you set up our trading systems?
No. We handle the physical side: disconnecting, packing, moving, mounting screens and reconnecting cables to the labels. Your IT team and vendors configure and test the systems.
Can our market data and voice trading vendors work alongside your crew?
Yes. We build their engineers into the move timeline so they have access to the right desks at the right time.
How are client files protected during the move?
They are packed into lockable crates with numbered seals, listed on a signed inventory, and checked against the list by your nominated person at the new office.
Do we need to tell our regulator about the move?
In most cases, yes. Regulators such as the DFSA and the SCA expect to be told about a change of address. Check the exact requirement and timing with your compliance team.
Can you move a bank office as well as a trading firm?
Yes. We move bank offices, including executive floors, operations teams and secure records. Bank branches with vaults or cash handling areas need a separate plan, which we prepare after a survey.
